In Salvador Dalí’s famous piece, “La persistència de la memòria,” the clocks, inspired by Camembert cheese, are melting due to the sun’s heat, warning us: this is the last moment. I have transposed this on to tuna, seals, and turtles. In the center, I present a dead polar bear as the symbol of a species that’s on the top of the pyramid disappearing as a consequence of human behavior. The clock on its back, ticking until the last moment, completes the apocalyptic picture that is warning us to start addressing climate change. Otherwise, this apocalypse will become reality.
